Heinz Robert Schlette

Heinz Robert Schlette (born 1931 in Wesel) studied philosophy, Catholic theology and religious studies in Münster and Munich. He received doctorates in philosophy and Catholic theology in Munich and completed his habilitation in philosophy in 1964. After working as a research assistant in Freiburg, as an editor at Kösel Verlag and as a fellow of the German Research Foundation, he became professor of philosophy at the Bonn University of Education in 1962 and at the University of Bonn in 1990. He retired in 1996. Schlette published on philosophy, theology, politics and culture, with a particular focus on Simone Weil and Albert Camus.
