Heinz Hafner

Heinz Hafner holds a doctorate in German and Romance studies and trained as a secondary-school teacher. He studied German, Romance studies and general educational theory at the universities of Zurich, Lausanne and Pennsylvania. He subsequently taught at lower and upper secondary level, including as a teacher of German and French at Kantonsschule Frauenfeld. He also worked as a lecturer in French-language teaching methodology at the University of Zurich and at the Thurgau University of Teacher Education. Hafner published teaching materials for German and French, led numerous professional-development courses and wrote a dissertation on literary theory, epistemology and semiotics.
