Heinrich Leopold Wagner

Heinrich Leopold Wagner (1747–1779) was a German writer and lawyer. After initially studying theology in Halle, he passed his law examination in Strasbourg and subsequently worked as an advocate in Frankfurt am Main. His literary work includes novels, verse narratives, translations, and plays. Among his best-known works are *Die Reue nach der Tat* and *Die Kindermörderin*.
