Heino Falcke

Heino Falcke, born in Cologne in 1966, is an astrophysicist. His career includes a professorship at Radboud University in Nijmegen. Falcke chaired the scientific advisory board of the Event Horizon Telescope project, which presented the first image of a black hole in 2019. He received the 2020 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics for his contribution to this achievement.
