Heike Ander

Heike Ander studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice at the University of Hildesheim, focusing on visual art as well as literature, theatre and media. She worked as an exhibition maker and editor for institutions including Kunstverein München, documenta 11, the documenta 12 magazines, ZKM Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe and Kunstraum München. From 2008, she worked as a curator and lecturer for exhibitions and collaborative projects at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. At GLASMOOG – Raum für Kunst & Diskurs, she curated exhibitions with artists including Johanna Billing, Lucile Desamory and Ingrid Wiener. She also co-edited numerous art publications, including books on Claude Cahun, David Lamelas, Michaela Melián and Johanna Billing.
