Heidi Siefert

Heidi Siefert, born in 1967, studied linguistics and social psychology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She worked as a journalist for German-language newspapers, magazines and camping publications, and was an editor at the ADAC magazine »Freizeit Mobil«. She also published travel guides and contributions to books. A travel scholarship for young journalists to Iceland prompted her to begin writing. Camping became one of her main subjects, although she had originally never wanted to camp.
