Heidemarie Brosche

Heidemarie Brosche, born in 1955 in Neuburg an der Donau, worked as a primary and lower-secondary school teacher and published numerous children’s, young adult and nonfiction books from the 1990s onward. Her three sons occasionally inspired her writing, although her own imagination remained her primary source. Her books addressed topics including reading promotion, educational equality and respectful coexistence. In 2020, she received the Volkacher Taler from the German Academy for Children’s and Young Adult Literature for her commitment to reading promotion and educational equality.
