Hedwig Dohm (1831–1919) was a German writer and essayist. She wrote plays, novels, and political essays on women’s rights. Notably, she began writing at the age of forty and was the mother of five children. Dohm was also the grandmother of Katia Mann. Her works include “Sommerlieben,” written in 1909 and consisting of three novellas.
