Harry Shapiro

Harry Shapiro is an English author known primarily for biographies of rock musicians and books on drug culture. His works include Electric Gypsy, a biography of Jimi Hendrix, as well as biographies of Eric Clapton, Alexis Korner, Jack Bruce, Bob Dylan, and Gary Moore. He also wrote Sky High: Drogenkultur und Rock’n’Roll, a book on drugs, rock, and popular culture. His Gary Moore biography received an award from the Association for Recorded Collections (ARSC) in 2023 for outstanding historical research in the pop and rock category.
