Hans Weichselbaum

Hans Weichselbaum was born in 1946 in Freistadt, Upper Austria. He studied German and history at the University of Salzburg and earned a doctorate on Georg Trakl. From 1972 to 2010, he worked as a secondary-school teacher. In 1973, he became head of the Georg Trakl Research and Memorial Centre in Salzburg. He also worked as a literary educator and wrote numerous contributions on Georg Trakl and twentieth-century literature.
