Hans Pfeifer

Hans Pfeifer (born 1930) holds a doctorate in theology. In 1964, he received his doctorate for a study of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s understanding of the church. From 1974 to 1978, he served as secretary of the Federal Republic of Germany section of the International Bonhoeffer Society. From 1976, he worked as a religious education teacher and pastor in Freiburg im Breisgau, retiring in 1995. Pfeifer was a co-editor of the “Dietrich Bonhoeffer Works” and a co-founder and editorial secretary of the “Dietrich Bonhoeffer Yearbook/Yearbook.”
