Hans Hopf

Hans Hopf (born 1942), Dr. rer. biol. hum., was an analytical child and adolescent psychotherapist, lecturer, supervisor, and control analyst. He worked at the Psychoanalytic Institutes in Stuttgart, Freiburg, and Würzburg, where he also became an honorary member. His scholarly work focused on aggression, dreams, and the specific neuroses of children and adolescents. In 2013 he received the Diotima Honorary Award from the German Association of Psychotherapists, and in 2017 the Staufer Medal of the state of Baden-Württemberg. His publications include “Wenn Kinder krank werden,” “Kinderträume verstehen,” and “Aggression in psychodynamischen Therapien mit Kindern und Jugendlichen.”
