Hans-Hermann Klare

Hans-Hermann Klare, born in 1956, worked for many years as an author and senior editor at the German magazine Stern. His reporting covered, among other subjects, the end of apartheid in South Africa, the genocide in Rwanda, and the uprising of Indigenous people in Mexico. His portrait of the American war photographer James Nachtwey formed the basis for the Oscar-nominated documentary film War Photographer.
