Hannes Jaenicke, born in 1960 in Frankfurt am Main, is an actor, documentary filmmaker and author. From 1979 to 1982, he trained at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. He became widely known through the thriller “Abwärts” (1984) and subsequently appeared in numerous film, television and stage productions. From 2007 onward, he produced documentaries, particularly on environmental protection and endangered species. As an author, he published books including “Wut allein reicht nicht” and “Die große Volksverarsche”, both of which appeared on the SPIEGEL bestseller list. His work and environmental advocacy have earned him several awards, including the German Television Award and the Bavarian State Medal.
