Hannelore Dierks

Hannelore Dierks was born in 1940 and grew up in Marburg an der Lahn, Germany. She worked as an educator in various social-pedagogical institutions, including preschools, daycare centers, child and adolescent psychiatry services, Lebenshilfe facilities, and children’s homes in Germany and South Africa. Alongside this work, she was a freelance author who wrote stories, read-aloud tales, plays, and contributions to handbooks and professional journals. Dierks had five children. Some of her books were translated into several languages.
