Hank Green was born in Birmingham, Alabama; his family moved to Orlando, Florida, when he was young. He studied biochemistry and earned a master’s degree in environmental science from the University of Montana. In 2007, he and his brother, John Green, founded the video channel Vlogbrothers. Hank Green became known for numerous video projects and as an initiator of the video conference VidCon. Together with John Green and the Nerdfighter community, he also initiated the charitable Project for Awesome.
