Guus Kuijer

Guus Kuijer was born in Amsterdam in 1942. He initially worked as a teacher and became a freelance writer in 1973. He was best known for his children’s and young adult books, which received numerous international awards. His honors included the Dutch State Prize for his complete works and the German Youth Literature Prize, which he received twice.
