Guido van Genechten

Guido van Genechten was born in 1957 in Mol, Belgium. He studied drawing and painting, as well as graphic design and photography, and initially worked for many years as a graphic designer, including in industry. He later devoted himself to illustrating children’s books. In 1998, he received the international illustrators’ prize Prijs van de stad Hasselt. Among his other distinctions is the Reader’s Digest Award for best children’s book illustrator. His books have been published in numerous languages and in 40 countries.
