Gudrun Braun

Gudrun Braun studied zoology and specialized in ethology, the scientific study of animal behavior. She worked as a behavioral biologist and dog trainer, including at the Vienna Animal Welfare Association. Her focus was the rehabilitation and social reintegration of dogs with behavioral problems and their transition to everyday life with new owners. Braun published scientific contributions and articles in specialist journals on canine behavior and the rehabilitation of shelter dogs. She also lectured in training programs. She was appointed to conduct training and examinations for Vienna’s dog-handling license and to assess the dog-owner competency certificate in Lower Austria. She held qualifications as a Tellington TTouch Practitioner and a certified animal-welfare-qualified dog trainer.
