Grete und Josef Leitgeb

Josef Leitgeb (1897–1952) was an Austrian writer and translator. He studied German and law, additionally trained as a teacher, and subsequently worked in the teaching profession. His literary work consisted mainly of poetry as well as novels. Together with his wife, Grete Leitgeb, he translated works by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and other authors into German. The couple also produced the first German translation of The Little Prince.
