Gregor Schoeler

Gregor Schoeler is emeritus Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Basel. His research focuses on Arabic literature, particularly poetry, literary prose, rhetoric, hadith, and the biography of Muhammad, as well as the transmission and history of the sciences. He has also worked on Persian literature, especially poetry, popular narrative literature, and historical traditions.
