Gideon Defoe

Gideon Defoe, born in 1975, studied archaeology and anthropology at the University of Oxford. After graduating, he worked for some time as a bartender in London before writing his first book instead of pursuing a doctorate. He went on to write further books, including one about animal reproduction and sexual behaviour. He also wrote the screenplay for the Oscar-nominated animated film The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
