Gerlis Zillgens

After completing secondary school, Gerlis Zillgens studied education and trained as an actor. She worked as a theatre actor and director before turning to writing. Her work includes novels and short stories for adults as well as books for children and young adults; she has also written screenplays for film and television. She has received literary awards, and many of her books have been translated into other languages or licensed by foreign publishers. A distinctive feature of her career is her transition from the stage to writing.
