George S. Clason Clason

George Samuel Clason was born on November 7, 1874, in Louisiana, Missouri. He studied at the University of Nebraska and served in the United States Army during the Spanish-American War. He subsequently worked as a publisher and founded the Clason Map Company in Denver, Colorado. The company published the first road atlas of the United States and Canada. From 1926 onward, Clason published pamphlets on economic and financial success, illustrating their principles with parables set in ancient Babylon. His best-known work is “The Richest Man in Babylon.”
