Georg Vogeler

Georg Vogeler is a historian and digital humanities scholar. He worked as a research associate at the Chair of Historical Auxiliary Sciences in Munich, where he earned his doctorate on late medieval tax registers from German territories. His research has focused on digital diplomatics, the charters of Emperor Frederick II, and the digital editing of medieval and early modern account records. Vogeler was Professor of Digital Humanities at the University of Graz and scientific director of the Austrian Center for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage. He was also a founding member of the Institute for Documentary Studies and Editing and served as technical director of the Monasterium Consortium and ICARus.
