Gengoroh Tagame

Gengoroh Tagame studied graphic design and began drawing manga in 1982. As an openly gay artist, he created the manga *My Brother’s Husband*, which he intended to use to raise awareness of gay rights. The series was his first work aimed at an all-ages audience and brought him recognition among a broad readership.
