Gabriel Zucman

Gabriel Zucman (born in Paris in 1986) is a French economist. He has held academic positions at the Paris School of Economics, the École Normale Supérieure – PSL, and the University of California, Berkeley. He gained international recognition with his book “The Hidden Wealth of Nations” (2014), published in German as “Steueroasen. Wo der Wohlstand der Nationen versteckt wird.” Zucman has received several awards, including the Excellence Award in Global Economic Affairs in 2017, the Hans Matthöfer Prize for Economic Journalism in 2021, and the John Bates Clark Medal in 2023.
