Friedo Lampe (1899–1945), born Moritz Christian Friedrich Lampe, was a German writer, literary scholar, and editor. He studied literary studies, art history, and philosophy, and worked as an editor, art critic, librarian, and later as an editor for several publishing houses. His works include the novels *Am Rande der Nacht* (1933) and *Septembergewitter* (1937), as well as the story collection *Von Tür zu Tür* (1944). *Am Rande der Nacht* was confiscated shortly after publication. Lampe remained in Germany during the Nazi era without aligning himself with the regime. He was shot in May 1945 by Soviet soldiers who mistakenly believed him to be an SS member.
