Franziska Steinhauer

Franziska Steinhauer studied education and subsequently worked for many years in the school service. In 2004, she began working as a freelance author. She primarily writes crime novels and short stories, often set in Cottbus and the Spreewald region. In 2014, she completed a master’s degree in forensic science, also described as Forensic Sciences and Engineering, at Cottbus University of Technology. The knowledge she acquired there informs her portrayals of forensic investigations and the reconstruction of crime scenes in her crime novels.
