Frank Willmann

Frank Willmann, born in Weimar in 1963, is a German author. He moved to West Berlin in 1984. Between 1990 and 2002, he published ten volumes of prose and poetry, some in collaboration with other authors. He later wrote and edited nonfiction on football culture, the Berlin Wall, and subcultures in the former GDR. With Anne Hahn, he co-authored, among other books, »Stadionpartisanen. Fans und Hooligans in der DDR« (2007) and »negativ-dekadent: Punk in der DDR« (2022). His other books include »Vereint im Stolz. Fußball, Nation und Identität im postjugoslawischen Raum« (2021), »Der Pate von Neuruppin« (2023), and »Betreten auf eigene Gefahr« (2023, as editor).
