Frank Walka

Frank Walka is a painter and illustrator who grew up near Lake Constance. He studied painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. As a teenager, he would explore the surrounding landscape with a watercolor set and sketchbook. His work on the book “Wiegenlieder” for Carus/Reclam renewed his engagement with color and line and marked the beginning of his work as a book illustrator. Walka illustrated several volumes in the Liederprojekt series, including “Die schönsten Lieder”.
