Franco D'Intino

Franco D’Intino is an Italian literary scholar. He was a professor of Italian literature at the University of La Sapienza in Rome and a fellow of the School of Advanced Studies, where he established the Laboratorio Leopardi. He previously worked at the universities of Amsterdam, Birmingham, and Perugia and was a fellow of the Italian Academy at Columbia University in New York. He has published numerous essays and monographs on Giacomo Leopardi. Together with Michael Caesar, he edited the first complete English translation of Leopardi’s Zibaldone, published in 2013 and 2015.
