Francisco Haghenbeck (born 1965 in Mexico City) studied architecture at La Salle University. He wrote several novels and screenplays and founded his own comic-book publishing house. His crime novel “Trago amargo” received the Mexican Una Vuelta de Tuerca literary prize in 2006. His novel “The Secret Book of Frida Kahlo” was translated into numerous languages, including English and French.
