Francesco Spampinato

Francesco Spampinato is a writer and art historian specializing in contemporary art and visual culture. He studied at the University of Bologna and Columbia University and earned a doctorate from the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. From 2011 to 2015, he was an associate professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. In his books and scholarly articles, he examines the relationships between art, media, and technology, as well as contemporary artists’ engagement with everyday life.
