Francesca Knaus

Francesca Knaus was born in Austria in 2000 and grew up in Istanbul, Paris, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Berlin. She studied European Studies at the University of Amsterdam, focusing on EU law and Central and Eastern Europe. Knaus co-founded the European Debate Initiative (EDI), which received the European Citizen’s Prize in 2021. From 2021, she worked as a research assistant in the German Bundestag, focusing on foreign policy and human rights.
