Frances Haugen

Frances Haugen (born 1983) is an American computer scientist and whistleblower. She worked at Google Ads and Pinterest, among other companies, and served as a senior product manager at Facebook from 2018 to 2021 on its Civic Misinformation team. After leaving the company, she provided extensive internal documents to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and The Wall Street Journal. Her allegations against Facebook led to a hearing before the U.S. Senate in 2021.
