Born in 1967, Florian Huber is a historian who earned his doctorate with a study of British occupation policy in Germany. He has written books including »Meine DDR. Leben im anderen Deutschland« and »Schabowskis Irrtum. Das Drama des 9. November«. He has also produced award-winning documentaries on contemporary history, including films about the fall of the Berlin Wall, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and the 1936 Olympic Games. His book »Kind, versprich mir, dass du dich erschießt. Der Untergang der kleinen Leute 1945« was translated into numerous languages and was named by the »Times« as one of the best history books of 2019.
