Florian Beckerhoff

Florian Beckerhoff was born in Zurich in 1976 and grew up in Bonn. He studied literature in Berlin and Paris before earning a doctorate at the University of Hamburg. Before becoming known as a writer, he worked, among other things, as a language teacher, museum guard and copywriter. Beckerhoff has published novels for adults as well as books for children. His novel “Frau Ella” sold more than 100,000 copies and was adapted into a 2013 film starring Matthias Schweighöfer. His children’s books include the animal mystery series “Nickel und Horn,” which received the Leipziger Buchmesse Lesekompass award.
