Florence Hazrat

Florence Hazrat was born in Berlin. She studied English Renaissance literature in Cambridge and earned a doctorate at the University of St Andrews. She subsequently conducted research at the universities of Geneva and Sheffield. Her interviews and articles appeared in publications including The Guardian, History Today, and The Washington Post. In 2021, the BBC selected her for its New Generation Thinkers programme. Hazrat’s work focuses on the history and culture of punctuation.
