Felix Huby, whose real name was Eberhard Hungerbühler, was born in Dettenhausen in 1938. He began his career as a reporter and editor before becoming a SPIEGEL correspondent for Baden-Württemberg. From 1976 onward, he wrote nonfiction, children’s books, and crime novels. He became particularly known for his 20-part Bienzle series and as the author of numerous episodes of the German television series »Tatort«. He also wrote radio plays, television series, and stage plays. His other works include the autobiographical trilogy »Heimatjahre«, »Lehrjahre«, and »Spiegeljahre«. Among other honors, Huby received the Friedrich Glauser Honorary Prize, the Golden Romy, and the Robert Geisendörfer Prize. In 2018 he was made an honorary citizen of Dettenhausen, and in 2019 he received the Order of Merit of Baden-Württemberg.
