Eve Curie

Eve Curie (1904–2007) was born in Paris, the daughter of Marie and Pierre Curie. She was a musician and writer. She became best known for her biography „Madame Curie“, first published in 1937 and translated into numerous languages. As a pianist, she undertook several tours of the United States between 1939 and 1949. During the Second World War, she worked there for the French Resistance; she drew on these experiences in her 1945 book „Voyage parmi les guerriers“. Eve Curie received an honorary doctorate and was made a Knight of the Legion of Honour.
