Eva Stachniak

Eva Stachniak was born in Wrocław, Poland. She worked for Radio Canada International and taught English and humanities at Sheridan College. Her historical novels *The Winter Palace*, about the early years of Catherine the Great, and *The Empress of the Night* became international bestsellers. Her other novels include *The Dancer’s Sister*, about the dancer and choreographer Bronisława Nijinska.
