Eva Horn

Eva Horn (born 1965 in Frankfurt am Main) is a German scholar of literature. After research and teaching appointments in, among other places, Konstanz, Frankfurt (Oder), New York, and Basel, she was appointed professor of modern German literature at the University of Vienna in 2009. She completed her habilitation at the European University Viadrina and founded the Vienna Anthropocene Network. Her work addresses the cultural and literary history of nature, the Anthropocene, and themes including betrayal, espionage, and modern fiction. In 2020, she received the Heinrich Mann Prize for her books and essays. Her publications include *Der geheime Krieg* (2007) and *Zukunft als Katastrophe* (2014).
