Esther Isaak

Esther Isaak is a humanities scholar whose work focused on beer and its cultural appreciation from 2005 onward. In Hamburg, she helped bring beer into wine retail and managed the “Bierland” for 13 years. She also founded the women’s beer club “Barley’s Angels – Die Gerstenengel Deutschland.” Isaak initiated a beer compendium, bringing together contributions from various authors. In 2017, she stood as a direct candidate for the satirical political party Die PARTEI; in 2018, she closed her shop.
