Enrique Vila-Matas

Enrique Vila-Matas, born in Barcelona in 1948, is a Spanish writer. After studying, he worked as a film journalist and spent several years in Paris. Since 1973, he has published numerous novels and short-story collections, including “Bartleby & Co.” (2001), “Risiken und Nebenwirkungen” (2004), “Paris hat kein Ende” (2005), and “Doktor Pasavento” (2007). His work has been translated into many languages and has received numerous awards, including the Herralde Novel Prize (2002), the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2013), the FIL Prize (2015), and Catalonia’s National Culture Award (2016).
