Emylia Hall

Emylia Hall, born in 1978, is an English author. She grew up in rural Devon as the daughter of an English artist and a costume designer from Hungary, and spent her summers in Hungary. After studying in York and Lausanne, she initially worked for an advertising agency in London. Her debut novel, Mein Sommer am See, was published internationally and was celebrated in the United Kingdom as the summer book of 2012. The Shell House Detectives is her first crime novel and was inspired by her love of the Cornish landscape.
