Emelie Schepp, born in 1979, grew up in Motala, Sweden. Before turning to writing, she worked as an advertising project manager. After writing an award-winning play and two screenplays, she published her first novel, the thriller “Marked for Life,” initially through self-publishing. It became a bestseller in Sweden; the Jana Berzelius series has been translated into 30 countries and sold more than one million copies worldwide. Schepp received the CrimeTime Specsavers Reader’s Choice Award in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
