Ella Zeiss

Ella Zeiss was born in 1980 in Alma-Ata, now Almaty, Kazakhstan. At the age of ten, she moved to the Federal Republic of Germany with her family as a resettler. She studied business administration and international management at the University of Münster and Copenhagen Business School. After graduating, she worked for several years in the private sector. Stories told by her grandparents about the pre-war period, the labor army, and the difficult years that followed provided material for one of her novels.
