Elisabeth Klar, born in Vienna in 1986, studied Comparative Literature and Transcultural Communication at the University of Vienna. She has worked in software development and led literature workshops for children and young people. Her writing has received several awards; in 2013, her text “An den vielen Ecken” was a finalist in the FM4 Wortlaut competition. Her debut novel, “Wie im Wald,” received the City of Vienna Advancement Award and was shortlisted for the 2015 Rauris Literature Prize. It was followed by the novels “Wasser atmen” (2017), “Himmelwärts” (2020), and “Es gibt uns” (2023).
