Elisa Macellari

Elisa Macellari is an Italian illustrator and graphic artist of Thai heritage. She was born in Perugia and studied at the city’s Academy of Fine Arts. She initially worked in Milan as an assistant and graphic designer at Galleria Suzy Shammah. In 2012, she began working as a freelance illustrator for Italian and international publishers. Her clients have included the New York Times, Corriere della Sera, Mondadori, Feltrinelli, and Nobrow Press. Her first graphic novel, Papaya Salad, was published in 2018 and translated into French and Spanish.
